Today Twitter supports no longer the basic auth, will Tinytwitter be updated?

Getting error message "An application error has occured. FormatException"

The strange thing is that I was using the (old) TinyTwitter PPC on my Windows Mobile 6.1 device for the past couple years without any problems. Out of the blue, it started reporting this error today.

I've removed the application, removed the Application Data and Program Files folders, restarted my phone, and then reinstalled. It still doesn't fix the problem. I even went through this whole process and installed the new beta version. No luck.

Any help? I really like this app and would hate have to find another one.

Using a samsung blackjack 2, when I started tinytwitter today, it does not load correctly. either the home page doesn't display correctly or the app doesn't go past the loading page. However, you can still access the menu functions such as Tweet, Inbox @, etc when depressing the softkeys.

I think it would be really great if Tiny Twitter supported Saved Searches. I have a saved search on twitter.com for #jhbtraffic - people around Johannesburg use that tag when they report traffic problems. I check the saved search before leaving on a trip, and I tweet using that tag from the road when I spot a traffic problem of my own. It would be great if I could click (for example) Menu -> Saved Searches -> #jhbtraffic from my cellphone when I was on the road and stuck in a jam. Maybe somebody further up front knows what the problem is and tweeted about it.

I have the today screen plug-in installed and I sent an update but it did not post to twitter. Is there anything I need to do to get it to work properly?

Sometimes, the user's picture will show up as the background behind the text of their tweet in their box. Is this an error?

Avatars do not update. For instance, I was initially using the default avatar. Then my fellow-twitterites shamed me into posting a real pic. The new avatar was live on twitter.com and other twitter apps, but my avatar never updated on my winmo client.

I tried TinyTwitter & pretty much like everything about it. Especially that I could update my status on Twitter & Facebook at the same time. However, there's a HUGE bug on my Treo Pro. I thought I had set TinyTwitter to only update manually. It seems to have decided on triggering my network connection if it isn't already open -- even if TinyTwitter is closed. The only thing that would stop the phone from continually trying to have an open data connection was to uninstall TinyTwitter. Is there a fix for that?
